IV Ozone - Have you tried it?

My doctor has wanted me to try a series of IV Ozone treatments at her office for a long time. I resisted initially - and now for well over a year.

I knew instinctively that I needed to be stronger to consider it. I still am unsettled about my warmed blood being exposed to plastic tubing and mixed with heparin before being returned to me. I’m careful about exposures environmentally and pharmaceutically and this situation is no different to me.

It is very clear to me that I need more oxygen delivered effectively at a cellular level. For seven months I fantasized about HBOT until I finally could access it - twice daily at 2ATA for 15 days. It helped, as I knew it would, just not enough and I cannot afford to continue.

I have had or have babesiosis, bartonellosis, raised titer levels for several viruses (HHV-6, EBV, and Parvovirus amongst them), malaria and other fun. I also have been diagnosed with CIRS, but finally have a mold-free home. Heavy metals (lead in the lead) play some role too. My doctor seems convinced these treatments will boost my immunity at a key cellular level.

In any event, I’m not asking anyone to weigh in on my own choice. I am very curious if you’d be willing to share your own experience with me. Will you kindly?

    - Have you done IV Ozone treatments?
    - What was your level of function like beforehand?
    - How many? How often? Over what amount of time?
    - Were they done solo or in combination with other IVs (and which, if so)?
    - What was your experience like during the treatment process?
    - How do you evaluate its effectiveness for you individually?

    Thank you, in advance!

Interested in this as well. Anecdotally I’ve heard many patients and doctors sing the praises of ozone

Also there are ways to cost effectively rent mHBOT for long term use

The rental versions are nowhere approaching the effectiveness of hospital-grade HBOT chambers, unfortunately.

@EsetIsadore I haven’t tried ozone but I’m interested in it as well. Two CFS drs told me they consider it one of the most effective treatments

I’m currently trying to get my insurance to cover photopheresis, but if that doesn’t work out I will likely try several rounds of 10-pass ozone

I'm going to tag @Learner1 who -- IIRC -- has done the 10-pass ozone thing.

    Best of luck !

I too am considering it. My doctor recently acquired a machine after training with the best. I know 2 people who had great success with it at 2 other clinics, one with chronic RRBV an one with chronic Lyme and coinfections and both said it was the thing that helped them the most.

I have tried other oxygen therapies including high dose vitamin C, ozone IVs, UVBI (UBI) and I regularly do HBOT. All have helped to a degree, but from what I understand, 10 pass is more intense and gets results quicker.

With all oxygen modalities, its wise to keep an eye on antioxidant levels, as it can deplete them if too much oxygen is used over a period of time. Check glutathione, A, C, E, and alpha lipoic acid periodically.

10 Pass is when they do draw blood, infuse it with some, and re-administer the treated blood ten times in one session

Here’s a young woman who went from bedbound to being almost asymptotic with 10-Pass

Some drs are doing 20 Pass now as well

Some interesting claimed benefits of High Dose Ozone Therapy (9+ Passes) by ozone researcher Dr. Johann C. Lahodny.

Really fascinating talk by Dr Frank Shallenberger, President of the American Academy of Ozone on IV Ozone use in cancer. He mentions CFS, and much of what he covers is directly applicable

My biggest takeaway is ozone's synergistic benefits with IV vitamins and mito sups

Tagging @Learner1 as she might be interested

I dont know a lot about ozone treatments but I do remember at least one member here saying that there were a few different ways the ozone was created and a few different types of plastic used for the tubing.

Using the correct way was apparently the differece between treatment being effective and also unhealthy/unsafe

It may have been @Kiwi Jack that mentioned it?

    Anyone aware of these issues?

Wow, it treats almost every disease, the only reason its not on every street corner is probably because the government suppress it [facepalm]

@knackers323 true from what I've read. You don't want to breathe it directly but other routes of administration are good

@Jesse2233 Yes, my doctors typically want me to get oral, injectible, or IV nutrients first, then use the HBOT to push them further into the tissues. Schallenberger and Riordan have had good success with oxygen therapies with patients.

@Alvin2 Yes, oxygen is necessary for life. You can certainly breathe it on any street corner, but you might also get toxicity from vehicle fumes. Some of the other methods discussed around here are better for combatting hypoxia which is a characteristic of many disease states.

Good plan. i've also heard of HBOT being used to push IV ozone deeper into tissue
