International ME/CFS and FM Awareness Day Is On May 12, 2018
Thomas Hennessy, Jr., selected May 12th to be our international awareness day back in 1992. He knew that May 12th had also been the birthday of Florence Nightingale. She was the English army nurse who helped to found the Red Cross as well as the first school of nursing in the world.

I do not know if there is a link but I have both (with both under control w/treatment).

I also have both, but don't know anything about whether this is common. Thyroid was the first of my systems to crash, when I was 13.

Lyme disease can attack the thyroid and cause MCAS so that is one possible link. I have MCAS but not hypothyroidism, although my mother has Hashimotos. My thyroid levels have been on the edge of suspect at times and I tried thyroid meds for subclinical hypothyroidism but the meds just made me ill.

@ebethc have you looked into sulfite/phenol sensitivity?

Nope... sulphites are in wine; don't know anything about phenols
