    So
....I went to Belgium on Tuesday and got my results.
I was positive for Borelia on the Elispot but not PCR, I also have clamydia Pneumonia(bummer).
Prof thinks I have had Lyme about five years.
No allergies, but do have some gut problems.
I got my son and daughter tested. Prof thinks My daughter probably has lyme as she is 4 and would have got it congenitally or via breast feeding., will find out in three/four weeks.
The team were great with her when taking blood .
Started anti biotics and a whole range of other stuff yesterday.
I am on Clarithromycin and Doxycycline.
So far ok. When is herxing supposed to start?
If I post some of the results of my blood work that were out of range would anyone be able to tell me what they mean.
Worried about my daughter but at least it's unlikely my son has it as he is nearly 17.

    Hi Szenn,

I didn't herx ( or not much) with clarithromycin ( 3 month). Just feel more depress.
I think it depends on people...

    Good luck

I Hope the tests will come back negative. Even if it is positive, he told us that lyme is much more easily curable with children.
Our youngest daughter is negative and we tested her sister last week. So we're also waiting for results ...

Good luck with your treatment. Hope it will help !

    Third day of Abx
I have headaches and bladder pain.
Is herxing a return of lyme symptoms?

Hope you guys will start feeling better soon.
I went ahead and tested for borrelia in a Thai hospital, IgM and IgG both negative....What kind of testing does KDM do for Lyme's? I read somewhere that lyme's testing might come back as negative until abx treatment is started. Is that true?
4 weeks to my appointment with KDM....

Hi Szenn - I just wanted to wish you good luck with treatment, and do let us know how it is going! I am in the same boat - have an appointment with KDM in two weeks when all my test results are in. He suspected Bartonella. I find the whole Lyme circus to be quite bewildering and frightening (though I must also say that anxiety is one of my worst symptoms, just started from one day to the next), and I have many questions about treatment. When I was in KDM's office I trusted him immediately, and I hope I will have the same feeling when I return in 2 weeks time.

Elispot, PCR and other stuff. Not the best person to ask really.
Let us know how your appointment goes. Are you flying all the way from Bangkok

    Thank you
Hope your other daughter is negative
Why does KDM expect her to have lyme?
Did you have lyme when you were pregnant with your girls?

I'm having my first appointment with Dr de Meirleir in about 5 weeks. I'm also living in the Netherlands, though I'm an American citizen.

The nurse made a mistake, the doc told me i'm definately positive for borrelia, ELISA IgG titers are 1:400. IgM is still negative but that doesn't mean much. Yes i'm coming over from Bangkok to see KDM.

Seems there's quite a few of us! It's comforting to be able to connect with other KDM people being treated for Lyme and co.

But can KDM cure lyme ?
He says he has an 88% success rate in curing it and is convinced I will get better.
But does anybody know anybody who has been cured of chronic lyme? Does anybody know anybody KDM has cured of Lyme?
I'm scared it's not going to work.

He is using pretty much the same protocols of the other Lyme specialists. I don't know anyone who has finished the full course of abx but I do know patients who have taken them for many months and whose symptoms have improved a lot. Time will tell.
