    Imagine you are someone:

    a. with a faulty immune system
    b. who is misdiagnosed and doesn't get a correct diagnosis for 25 years
    c. wants to express a critical opinion of the NHS and NICE for their description of your chosen treatment
    d. wants to make the point that larger studies are needed
    e. has to pay a fortune to go abroad for private treatment
    f. suffers from a disease that affects 100,000 in the UK

And that you would like some publicity on the BBC news website.

If you are a BBC journalist, no problem!

The BBC even correctly put it in the "entertainment and arts" section, which is where most of their medical reporting should have been put for years.

I'd read this and missed what section it's in. Thanks for pointing that out Tired Sam.

It will be interesting to see if larger studies confirm long-term benefit for many, or for a subset only. I understand there are different varieties of MS, so that needs to be considered. The cost alone rules it out for most people, and she doesn't say anything about risks vs potential benefit.
