A Little Poisoning Along the Road to ME/CFS
Looking at my symptoms, many of which are far less these days and some are gone, it would be easy to figure that I'd just been dealing with some heavy-duty menopausal issues.

Is it possible for people in the U.K. who are on disability to get a nurse to come to their house and check on them a couple times a week. My sister-in-law has FMS and what they think is the beginning stage of Alzheimers. A med student comes to her house, checks up on her and cleans. (We live in a college town.) She also has meals delivered to her house. I think it is a "meals on wheels" plan.

Perhaps if she did not have the Alzheimers diagnosis this would not happen. I am not sure. Could you call the disability office where you are at and explain your situation or get your doctor to fill out the paper work so you could get some type of help like this? I am not sure how things work there.

I see now where you mention home help. I hope that happens for you.

My GP is no help with anything.. Last time I went I asked him if he'd fill out disablity parking forms.. his reply "You arent disabled".

And thou I was a client of a disabilities SA. .. they dropped me as a client as they said they couldnt offer me any support in my area.

So basically Im on my own with things.

I should of heard back about the home help by now (why arent i surprised I havent. Im going to be let down again. They only offered I think as I was getting them into trouble by ringing emergency numbers and the people there were then asking why the other agencies werent helping and hence then once again the other agencies said they'd look into things).
The time before they looked into helping me.. was all cause I'd talked to reporter about them and me.

I'm so sorry you've had to go through all that. Your Bureaucracy sounds even worse then ours. Sometimes I wonder if we should get together and sue for discrimination (if it is true the majority of us our women). Maybe that would be the route to go. If only we had the resources.

Yes he is taking new clients. If you ring the specialists office you can book in. I booked in today for February. You can get a referral from your doctor later but at least you will have an appointment.

Tan, you're having a really rough trot right now, aren't you? You're so resilient to be able to still be the intelligent and articulate woman that you are.

Re: flying to an appt, let me know if you want me to look into some patient transfer options for you.

    Lots love

I realised the other day that the email I sent to him asking some things had bounced back to me. His email on the hospital site is wrong.

My psychologist told me to email and ask him if he at all does any visiting consultations in Sth Australia or if he does teleconsultations (i dont know if Ive got that word right). So Im now going to have the ring that hospital and ask if they will give me his email or allow me to speak to him.
    ............

Thanks Mary.. I'll pm you... Ive been very busy trying to arrange things but still so far havent actually got any appointment lined up. Ive emailed heapsreal's doctor today to see if he will do phone consultations and if he will be my GP.
