I don't know if anyone here is experienced at reading soft tissue X-rays, or acknowledging if someone has joint/spinal issues based on the images.....but I had some soft tissue X-rays done on my neck and spine last week and I just got the cd with the images on it and wanted to post them. I see a spot on my neck that looks like the vertebrae are pinched or even collapsed, and same with my spine in a few of the vertebrae. Also see some white matter in my throat and have no idea what that is at all. If anyone can help me with interpreting them if appreciate it, thank you.

Since these recent changes that started last week, my joints and tendons ALL seem to have more laxity. Idk if that would show on the X-rays I just took or if laxity even shows up in MRI's / soft tissue X-rays, but if anyone can see anything on these images I'd greatly appreciate it.

Glad to see that tests are being done, although I cannot read x-rays.

Yea I just hope someone can help me out on reading these....I'm guessing nothing looks out of the ordinary but Idk if there's certain things to be looking for regarding ligament laxity or hormonal imbalances when looking at the soft tissue X-rays

I'm really depressed tonight....just find it bullshit how a doctor can't figure these issues out. I don't have rheumatoid arthritis, don't have EDS, don't have hormonal imbalances (according to blood levels), basically the just say I have something they can't figure out and send me home....,is this what's going to happen when I can hardly walk or my joints in my spine start having subluxations? Are they going to say, "uhhhh duhhh we don't know what you got, sorry sir....maybe physical therapy and pain killers and anti depressants will cure it"

Fucking fuck if that's the way this life is I don't want to live anymore and have to suffer....why should I continue to play this bs game with them?

If you're referring to the bit right beneath your jaw on the first X-ray, I'm pretty sure that's just your hyoid bone. Thanks Anatomy and Physiology class :p

P.S. - Interesting tidbit, I remember this because my professor told us that a broken hyoid bone on post-mortem can be evidence of strangulation as the cause of death.

Yes it may be that.....I'm just more concerned with my health right now, don't think doctors will ever diagnose me with anything and are content on letting me deteriorate. They give zero shits about life or death with their patients, they just want their pensions.

I sympathize with your frustration Konflict. It`s bizarre that when we`re so ill, there`s not even attempts to leviate it in some way. By implying that it`s all in our heads, and by referring to CBT and GET, they are taking the responsibility away from themselves on faulty premises. If only what we have was more obviously fatal, I don`t think we would find ourselves in this situation. Realistically we need some sound research that will send shockwaves. Something that can be referred to as a darn good reason to try at least medicine X or Y.

I see people improve on various meds. That keeps me hopeful for the future.

Meanwhile I would consider changing doctors if that`s possible for u. In Norway that`s our legal right, both with GP`s, and with hospitals.

Keep cracking bud!

@Marky90 thanks for the reply. I think the doctors know there is something wrong but I'm convinced it's hormonal/neurological but they gave me a referral to generics which may take up to 6-8 months since I have cheap insurance... I may very well be handicapped by then.

I've never even seen anything online or even here of all places about acute connective tissue disease, doctors have never heard of it, yet they won't go all out on testing. I think US of all countries has the shittiest health care system. It's only taken me a little over 3 months to physiologically develop into an 80'year old man. No over exaggeration either.....it's just complete bullshit, I swear to god I'd rather have cancer, at least there's a chance to survive it and they KNOW what it is.

And a damn good chance you'd resume life as normal. This whole thing is a crock of shit.

It really is....idk why I ever took any supplements to begin with, I should have just been happy the way I was, now I'm forced to suffer a slow painful death due to connective tissue degeneration

Hey @Konflict, I was browsing around looking at stuff related to joint problems and I came across this body builder forum. The people there were talking about taking an estrogen blocker supplement in order to keep their testosterone levels high, but apparently the low estrogen causes joint issues. They were then talking about taking a Super Cissus supplement to relieve the joint problems. I haven't done any real research on any of this stuff but the low estrogen and joint problems reminded me of you so I thought I'd share in case it's anything you wanted to research further.

Thanks for the super cissus recommendation but Idk of it'll help at all, I think I fucked up my collagen genes somehow with methyl b12 and methyl folate.....I'm basically done with life at this point...can't recover. Idk why they even sell these bullshit vitamins over the counter. All I can look forward to is when my cranial spine collapses on my brain stem and other subluxations causing permanent nerve damage, I can't even lift my arms any longer than a few seconds without feeling extremely worn. Can't have a bowel movement, can't escape pain.....life is bullshit I could have lived another 50 years if I hadn't took methyl vitamins, now I'll maybe live another 2-3 at the most? Fuck this I'm done

Has anyone ever heard of or used the Cusack Protocol for connective tissue strengthening? I really don't want to die from this deterioration and idk what to do, out of pocket testing is so much momey and I can barely afford paying for me and my mother to get by....thinking of making a gofundme

Sorry I've never heard of it, but I'll look into it (but if it's a physiotherapy thing I'll pass)

It's actually a supplement regiment, I took a screen shot of the supplements in it I'll post it below.

I took almost all of those (except diatomaceous earth - ?) and most of them were of little to no benefit to my structural issues. In your case however, I can't say anything for sure.

Normally the L-Arginine is the most likely to provide benefit, it's because the increased nitric oxide provides blood flow to the cartilage and joints which otherwise have trouble receiving nutrients. However low-dose will be of limited benefit, and there are better and more metabolism-friendly supplements to increase nitric oxide (though low-dose arginine is ok to take in addition).

The PQQ could help mitochondria in general but I'm not aware of joint benefits (haven't read new things about it in awhile).

MSM/glucosamine/chondroitin is a popular joint supplement but I felt it was a waste of money, getting sufficient carbs and high protein (sulfur) should be enough.

The thing is, when people self diagnose they expect you to be wrong, and the doctor to be right.....,yet everyone here for the most part is self medicating because a doctor can't diagnose them.....kinda ironic right?.

I dont agree with this statement, most here do have diagnoses and those who dont we encourage them to keep seeking out good doctors and specialists till they do.

The reason here that most are self meditating is that even with the diagnoses which doctors have given us, what we have isnt really treatable so its all experimental.

Doctors can not take a group of their ME/CFS patients and go "this will work for you".

with your xrays, if u feel like you have something which may be showing there I suggest to take to a "good"
chiropractor, they look for things such as sublaxations (not sure if I have that word right). Some of them send people to have xrays done before they will work on them.

Avoid any chiropractor who tells you before they start that they will take a set number of treatments to fix you and give u a number eg "it will take 10 treatments" (those ones Ive always found to be just out to make money), till they work on you, they wont know what your body is like or how it will respond.

what I meant was people don't want to take into consideration what I think is wrong with me (like I am not smart enough to capable of throwing out ideas that make logical sense) and shoot the idea down or try to say why their interpretation of my health is better than my own.

Doesn't matter.....I killed myself taking saw palmetto years ago, and made it substantially worse by taking some bullshit methylated b vitamins that shouldnt even be on the market.
