Last night, I needed to attend a (mandatory) cocktail dinner with my husband. As soon as we got there, we found ourselves STANDING UP in conversation with two other people. After a few minutes, my husband said, "Honey, why don't you sit down." So, I took my cue and grabbed a chair and stared up at them. All of a sudden, one of the women we were talking to - who knows I have ME/CFS - sat down TOO and said, "This way I can look at you!" I was really touched. It's amazing how such a small action can show so much EMPATHY and UNDERSTANDING. Anyways, we all have SO MANY stories of bad doctors, bad moments, stupid comments...I thought I would start a thread where people could talk about nice things healthy people have done for them, or showed an understanding you didn't expect! So, what's yours?
