NEWS FROM THE UMDF
To celebrate "Awareness Week," the UMDF is sponsoring a video contest. We are asking people to create a two minute video that shows us how they spread awareness about mitochondrial disease. Get creative!!! All submitted video's will be posted on the UMDF Facebook page, ( http://www.facebook.com/pages/Unite...-Foundation/202570833099467?tr=y&auid=8683473 ) where people will be encouraged to 'like' their favorite video. The five video's with the most 'likes' will be entered into the final round of judging by a panel selected by the UMDF. The grand prize winner will recieve an IPad. The second place winner will recieve an IPod, and the third place winner will recieve $100 in UMDF Merchandise. All entries must be recieved by August 31, 2011. Winners will be announced starting September 19, 2011.

In the coming weeks, we will be e-mailing information to you about the awareness week materials we have available, upcoming Energy for Life Walkathons, and other participation ideas. New this year is our partnership with similar groups in a 'Global Mitochondrial Disease Awareness' effort. You can see the website we have all developed by clicking here.
