My first post here. I have read over different posts and this is all so confusing to understand what will help and what will hurt. I have issues with fatigue, migraine headaches, body aches, and don't sleep well. I have been to several doctors with no luck with anyone understanding what will help.

Has anyone here found anything that would help with my above issues and have the below SNPs? Thanks for taking the time to review my post. Best of luck to everyone here.

Here my information from Genetic Genie

    Hi @AllAmericaGirl

Sorry to hear you're feeling bad! Good news is your genetic mutations aren't as complicated as some. The main gene problem I can see is MAO A:

    MAO A R297R rs6323 TT +/+

This gene requires riboflavin (Vitamin B2) and a working thyroid to function properly. If its not functioning well, it can cause anxiety, insomnia, obsessive tendencies, depression, etc.

Have you had your thyroid tested? Do you take any thyroid meds or hormones? Make sure your thyroid is thoroughly checked by a good doctor. Treating thyroid imbalance can help with sleep issues and body aches. When I started taking thyroid glandular, my ability to fall asleep improved.

I was able to further fix my MAO A problem by taking Vitamin B2. I take a small dose, approximately 5mg to 10mg, 3x a day. This was key for normalizing my ability to take supplements and not get anxious or over-react to them. As long as my urine stays yellow most of the time, I know I'm getting enough.

    Hope this helps!

Yes help - I am a new-BE student here. My 23&me SNPs are there. I have the same homozygot MAOa 297 What do you see. What to expect? I have:

    (1) Bhmt 02 +/+, Bhmt 08 +/+, // Cbs c699t +/-, Cbs a360a +/- Acat1.02 +/-. as first priority SNPs.

What to do –when? – that means Cbs is well compromised (more so with 2x Bhmts +/+) and Acat +/- . It creats some missuse with waste components in the pathway. Yes, I do get the bowl problems. It itches over my liver.
    First to the gut...

    (2) Other findings: Vdr taq +/+, Mao-A r297r +/+, Mthfr c677t +/+, Mtr a2756g +/+; // Mtrr a664a +/- .

I do use Vitamin D 3. Perhabs I should go higer to 2000 iE daily. The MTRR/ MThFR is a dobble Wak? - what was the praktical meaning. It could mean a missuse of my recources...

The MAOa gives me some problems. I tent to be over aggitated. There are some irritating Reactions of mine. I misread and cause stress – in my social life. How to understand – neurotransmitter. Where to use switches. (I value FIR sauna Carbon. It is said to support BH4 levels.) What helped you – with your simmilar SNPs. Thanks

    Your order sherpa: Mthfr c677t +/+, (Mtrr a664a +/-), Mtr a2756g +/+; Mao-A r297r +/+, Vdr taq +/+.

    plus Methylation: Bhmt 02 +/+, Bhmt 08 +/+, (Cbs c699t +/-, Cbs a360a +/- Acat1.02 +/-).

Verry helpfull sherpa. I should go and check… Thanks

Hallo @americangirl ! How do you do? Just trying to read here that Gen.gen Text – wich they had send to me - more carefully. This lead to comparrisons. (You have not the: CBS C699T rs234706 GG -/-, CBS A360A rs1801181 -- no call, CBS N212N rs2298758 GG -/- that is verry good. Those would show the Methylation cbs +/+ Blocks.) Your have less MTHFR questions than Sherpa or me. Still you may check how strong the +/- comes out in your life in practice. B. Lynch is the expert for those.

    (2) Later it can be: Mthfr c677t +/-, Mtrr a66g +/-, Mtrr a664a +/-, MTR A2756G +/+, MAO A R297R +/+, VDR bsm +/+

    (1) See – the: Bhtm.08 +/-, ACAT1-02 +/-, SHMT1 c1420t +/- first priority

Look for the Caledonia Link – for your start. Enjoy your time here. And start the Check for the bowls.

Some of us could start with D3 2000iE. It can be taken in higher levels for 3 weeks (in hot summer little less). I have the VDR taq +/+.

My own findings showed 6 (+/-) mutations. Let me take you to what I have heard here/@Gen.gen about (more minor) heterocygot SNps. It was said to look for AC plus CBs – (no shmt):

'Acat' gives need for the B12, also Lipids are mal-processed. My body is slim 60kg/180cm. I am low weigth fort he FIR sauna. I will have special concern with fat. Can you advice food or supplemt. I continue with Lecithin (3 tee spoons a day). My concern is – to start more bowl work.
    • CBs c69.t (minor CBs a36.a*)
    • Acat1.2
    • MTRR A664A
    • Ahcy.1, Ahcy.19 (**2)
The first 3 (count for) first priority. The next Mtrr (+/-) gets more relevance throug my MThfr ++ (not mentioned above). So booth CBs (1) and Mthfr/MTRR (3) give Methylation Block concerns.

Yes – I see and feel a ‚spill‘ of the methylation products. M.Block is there. My early attempt to support methylation process needs ajusting. It is personalising my efforts acording to the genetic findings – presented here.

*My heterocygot CBS +/-. There is discussion on value diffrences. This first CBs 69 (material spilling) „blockage“ can be calculated much higher - than the more ‚minor‘ CBs 36 SNPs.

** Ahcy’s (2) I lak wisdom. We may understand later.
