Yes, it could have been avoided, but don't blame the folks who are not in the private club. This whole thing has been seriously strange. She lost me when she made an offer for free testing on the public forum and then was surprised that people who weren't in the private club didn't know they weren't in the private club. And then got defensive, had a temper tantrum and left.

In all fairness to Christine, she made it very clear that her free testing was for only people she previously talked to in private. Here is what she said.....

"So to those few people that I've offered some general suggestions via private email, I will offer this - if you cantact my company through my website ................., my company will do a current hair test for you free of charge. This will allow my company to offer more detailed supplement suggestions."

It was clear to me that she offered the test to the ones who had given their hair charts - the ones who were willing to give her a chance. Someone could afford to give everyone the test? Seriously illogical.

The offer should have been made privately to those she intended to help. It obviously did cause confusion.

    WOW! What happened?

Isn't this just a bit too much over-reacting (on everybody's part), and all to do with hair mineral analysis...?

What comes to mind is 2 words: chill out.

That's what I'm going to do now. See you all much later.

Why? So other people would find out later that some got it for free? That would have caused more of a stir. I think Christine handled it in the proper manner.

Christine had to clarify her offer. It caused confusion and bad feelings. That's a fact.

    Adreno.

    See Forum Rule #4:
When somebody posts a link to their own company, this is considered advertising. The forum rules ask members to contact the moderators prior to posting a link to their business on the forum.

There is also a sticky in the Nuts and Bolts section that expands on the forum rules -- http://forums.phoenixrising.me/showthread.php?2184-Forum-Rules

We generally allow a member who has a business to post a link to their business once if the business is related to ME in some fashion.

The policy is that we don't want this forum used for advertising. There are numerous reasons why we limit advertising links. Some forums don't allow them at all. Members who feel that they are not advertising have the opportunity to discuss this with the moderators when they PM them to ask permission to post a link. Dog Person has not contacted us at all even though we quoted the rule to her.

I hope that clarifies the issue for you, Adreno.

The other fact is she shouldn't have had to clarify something already crystal clear.

So Christines company can still be found advertising itself once as allowed?

What bad feelings? That some felt left out and they thought they should get it for free? Cmon, no one in their right mind could offer something for free like this to the masses. Afterall, where would it end? I said previously I have no problem with paying.

    hi Kina

    You said....

"We generally allow a member who has a business to post a link to their business once if the business is related to ME in some fashion."

Well it "might be" related to ME "in some fashion". Terming it the way you have I think allows for some flexibility and in this case I believe Christine has earned the right for you to be flexible. Afterall, it's not like Christine has conducted herself in a way that is typical of a spammer.

Rand56 -- the flexibility is in allowing a business owner posting on the forum to have one link to their business. We have allowed that link. Links are picked up by all sorts of bots which does have ramifications. There is no need for a link to be posted at this point as she has revealed her name and the name of her business. We are not preventing members from contacting her at all because her business can easily be found by Googling.

Ok Kina. I thought maybe she got in trouble for even posting it the first time. Yes and I understand there is no need to post it again. Sorry if I got confused LOL

As it is not easy to find the information for newcomers who wish to contact her and as she seems to have left, can we have her full name and or company name Hairs to Health on her first post please?

    PLEASE NOTE:

This thread is meant to be about Hair Mineral Testing. This thread has become very off-topic and quite unpleasant in places.

Please stick to the topic of the thread and avoid making negative personal comments about members.

    Thank you.

Hi Christine. I'm disheartened to see that you've decided to leave the forum. While I was often frustrated by the lack of clarity in your posts here, like many I was interested to hear your completed theory. I'm guessing you don't want to deal with all the questions and criticisms that are arising as part of that. That is disappointing, but understandable as there are many of us and only one of you.

I hope that you will consider the needs and emotions that might be behind the posts that have caused you to decide to leave. I'm sure I don't have to tell you that people are suffering and some are even dying. It's scary. We need all the help we can get, but I think we also have to the right to make requests about how we are helped. There are lots of people who want to make money from our illness, it understandably creates some anxiety when a new person offering help appears on the forum.

I don't think anyone wanted you to stop posting here.
