Once again, Erica Verrillo, author of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: A Treatment Guide, is offering the 2nd edition of her ebook for free. Download it at Amazon.com on the 19th and 20th of January.

This is the email I received from her yesterday:

FREE BOOK! On January 19th and January 20th, 2013, Amazon.com will be giving away free copies of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: A Treatment Guide, 2ndEdition. Dr. Charles Lapp calls this “the book every patient should have.” The book includes over 100 effective treatments, spanning the full range of pharmaceutical and complementary modalities, an in-depth discussion of symptoms with cross-referencing to appropriate treatments, the latest research into the causes and mechanisms of the illness, doctors' protocols, coping techniques, special sections for managing chemical sensitivities, dietary restrictions and the special needs of children, as well as extensive appendices covering resources, locations of doctors and clinics, local, national and international organizations, and internet ordering information. The book also features over 2600 useful links to further reading, research articles, and patient reviews.

A Kindle is not needed to read this book! Amazon provides free apps that allow eBooks to be read on computers, iPads, phones and other devices.

For more information go to: http://www.cfstreatmentguide.com

I will certainly get a copy, although $6.24 isn't much and I might pay to support the writer. The book looks very good.

I missed the free version, but I don't mind supporting the writer a bit, so I bought the version for PC with the downloadable app for the kindle functions. Thanks all for the information and the links!!

Hi, Omar88. Anyone who downloads the ebook can share it with one person for 14 days. The person who loans it would need your email address; the transaction takes place at the Amazon website. I have already loaned mine to someone. Anyone willing to loan the book to Omar?

I will contact Erica Verrillo about your problem and see if she can offer a solution.

Hello, Katherine. The book covers the protocols offered to patients by various ME/CFS specialists in the US. It also addresses what treatments that may help the many symptoms that people with ME/CFS suffer from.

    Hi Merry :)
I'm sure this book has its merits, but a cure is needed, not another book. I don't doubt that the authors' hearts are in the right place.

Let's hope this is not the future for CFS patients.

Thanks merry. Obviously reading the book would be the only way to see what the author says about these topics. Is this really free ?

I know I'd have been completely overwhelmed and in tears if this was the official source my cfs doctor had recommended when I first got sick. But I couldn't concentrate long enough to read what I'd written months prior when this started. I just learned most of this terminology in the last 7 years.

Fwiw, is there any real direction given here or is this a collection of Me/cfs studies or theories ? Tx .. X

Yes, the book is free, today and tomorrow. If you don't own a Kindle, first download the software at Amazon that makes your computer screen look like a Kindle. Then download the ebook.

The book is written for the patient and offers practical advice. The author offers an extensive bibliography for further reading. You don't have to read the book cover to cover. Just choose the topic that interests you. The parts I've read are very well-written.
