ME/CFS: A disease at war with itself
We can all agree that ME/CFS is a nasty disease, particularly in its severe form, but there are abundant nasty diseases in the world. What is unique and particularly confounding about our disease is that so much controversy surrounds it, and not only surrounds it, but invades it too.

My fever continued to go down over the next two days (until I finished the abx) after the doc refused me more antibiotics because my lungs were clear, so I think I still had the bacterial infection. However, I did not have further lung problems with the relapse infection, so it was probably viral. I'm not sure why finishing a course of antibiotics would cause a viral infection. Perhaps it just clears the playing field of bacteria, bad and good.
