Flavonoid absorption?

Does anybody know what factors influence absorption? It's said that vit C might enhance quercetin absorption, and that's included in some brands of capsules. Why does it help absorption? Would vit C help with absorption of all flavonoids?

It also might be beneficial to take quercetin with something that naturally contains quercetin such as tea. Maybe ancillary molecules help with absorption or with how it gets utilized. Since my main interest is in absorption of anthocyanins and cyanidins, would the same principle apply with those?

Does anything impede absorption or step up breakdown?

Thanks.
