    Hi Everyone,

I have been getting this weird unfull feeling even though I am eating enough.

It seems as though everytime I eat i am hungry within 30 mins to an 1.5 hours after eating.

My meals are about 80% organic foods.

I eat full plates of containing carbs, fats proteins. I am on point with my diet.

I have a lot of neuro sensory, neuromuscular and neuro cog symptoms. I also have confirmed POTS.

    does anyone experience this?

Here is aother example its like I eat and the food doesnt even seem to go into my stomach to get full...it just goes right into the intestines

I get so hungry all the time that I can eat like 5 to 10 times per day....

    Does anyone have some insight?

    Thank you in advance

I also have this and eat around 8 or more times a day. I'm fairly thin and it doesn't appear to change my weight to eat this often. If I don't eat, I begin to feel really nauseous and like I may faint. I refer to it as hypoglycemia but medically, my insulin levels don't show a problem. I've never found anything to help the symptoms other than small frequent meals. I've seen other ME/CFS patients say they have something similar.

Can you sometimes go for 3 hours without eating? Can you sleep a full night without eating?

I wonder if digestive enzymes would help you get more from the food, and not be as hungry.

I have this hungry problem too. I think it is because of the stomach inflammation, and when I eat small meals, the stomach begins to work and it help to slow down a little bit the inflammation.
If I don't eat, I feel really bad. Some kinds of food help more than others. I noticed that when I drink decaf coffee throughout the day, the hungry sensation is less powerful.

I don't have this when I sleep, I don't wake up to eat, so I guess the body is in a state that helps to decrease the inflammation. But once I wake up, after 1 or 2h, I have to eat.

i have had this exact problem since i became ill. for a time, it was so bad, that i had to get up at 3 am to eat or i could not go back to sleep. even now, i eat about 4 meals a day plus snacks. our food bills are pretty high now because i am constantly eating and its gluten free...nuts and cheese are expensive lol

this symptom disappeared when i was on rocephin.

i have read that leaky gut can cause this.....some kind of affect on hormones i think? sorry, its been a long time since i have read about it.

I've always had a large appetite and need to eat greater quantities, more frequently than those around me just to maintain a healthy weight. I also experience the hypoglycaemic type symptoms that others mention if I don't keep it up. That said, the only time I've had a sensation of not being full for at least a few hours after eating to satiety was in the few months I experienced severe gluten intolerance (probably coeliacs) before eliminating it from my diet. I wouldn't feel full unless I had a big hit of bread/pasta etc., especially at night.

    Have you got GI symptoms?

Oh yeah. I have GI symptoms....

Shooting pains, gurgling, needing to go then not having to....my symptoms are Neuro, GI, POTS....

the POTS dr thinks that it related to "Dumping Syndrome" I think this makes sense somewhat from what I have read.....ignore the parts about surgery:

    http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/173594-overview

    Related to the Vagues Nerve

I think by taking the surgery out of it and looking at it like an issue with the vagues nerve all starts to make sense.

I feel like a mad scientist sometimes looking for all the answers.

Something is definately up with the Vagues Nerve in ME....

I had something similiar. Do you have IBS symptoms? Since i removed foods causing IBS symptoms I have been able to go much longer between meals without feeling hungry.

I believe what happened is IBS forced the foods through my system without properly digesting them thus being continually hungry

I do have IBS it was one of the first symptoms in knowing that something was wrong.

I eat really clean organic foods but find that I still am hungry and the food doesnt even cause Gi issues.

The best way to describe is that it feels like food goes in my mouth and right into my intestines.

I had this when I had stomach inflammation. Mild nausea feels almost exactly like hunger, to me. DGL helped me.

I also had this before I got sick, when I was a vegetarian. Plant foods just digest more quickly or something. I was amazed when I started to eat meat and would be not-hungry for hours!

Ok to clarify you no longer experience IBS symptoms with your current diet but the hunger issue still exists? Is this correct?

Have this too. Need to eat every 2 hours. When eating fatty foods maybe 3. But when I don't eat I lose it completely.
Would love to find a solution. A permanent one. Takes a lot of energy.
    Also have GI issues.

@Justin30 do you actually feel hungry or is it a grinding sensation that you're experiencing?

Very mild IBS symptoms compared to before....very mild. Frequency of going to the bathroom has increased and so has the feeling of hunger.

And the stuff that comes out looks good 80% of the time. When it comes out not nice its IBS-C mostly.

So I have also been going more frequently with less stuff coming out overall. But with also some incomplete emptying.

I am so frustrated with this stupid illness....

That sounds pretty low fat. Fat can be nicely filling, and is very useful, so you might feel better if you get more of it.

I have a day or two from time to time where I feel extra hungry, usually when I've got a flu or something. Eating until I'm satisfied seems to work best. Otherwise I start feeling both weaker and even hungrier. Whereas after a couple days of eating extra, my appetite is back to normal.

Usually I try to eat healthy, but that's the one time I'll keep plenty of unhealthy, fatty, sugary foods around until I'm doing better again.

My fat intake has been ok. I was think it was that too.

The POTS specialist I saw that confirmed my dx said could be what know as dumping syndrome without the surgery....something to do with the nerves and sphicters allowing food to pass to quickly into the small inestine....gut motility issue
