    Hi, I found that this lab has a few tests that look interesting for cfs like an "oxidative stress test", "candida immune complex", etc. The test are listed here: http://www.gdx.net/tests/alphabetical. There's one I found interestting, the page says this about it:

    Immunogenomic Profile:
    This test evaluates genetic variations in genes that modulate immune and inflammatory activity. These variations can affect balance between cell (Th-1) and humoral (Th-2) immunity, trigger potential defects in immune system defense, and stimulate mechanisms underlying chronic, overactive inflammatory responses.

    If anybody knows about this lab or if anybody founds useful any of their test, I would really appreciate to know it since this lab takes samples in Uruguay, where I can travel since I am in Argentina. As I said in a previous post, here in Argentina, there's little to do about CFS, perhaps nothing. Thank you for your attention, goodbye

    It looks like they are Metametrix which is legit. I can't vouch for those tests. I'm sure someone else will chime in about them and some tests you might want to get done.

    Genova is a legit lab. I did their CDSA (stool analysis) a few years ago. I think their adrenal testing is good as well.

    I would just ask yourself what you would do differently based on the results of the testing to see if it will tell you anything actionable. A lot of specialty tests give you information but it's very hard to make changes to do anything about the information received.

    ema, I just... would like at least once in my life, to have an objective proof that there's something terribly wrong in my body that has nothing to do with mi mind or my will to be healthy. That at least somebody in this hostile world can finally see the obvious, this disease is an expert at hiding, but it's there, and its been making my life really hard the half of it, 14 years! yet nobody has not the most basic common sense, they can't realise this symptoms make no sense in the context of a psychological disease. To be brutally sincere, I'll be brutally sincere, I want a damn paper for my father! also for my wife, yet she loves me and is an excellent person, has lived among mentally disturbed people all his life, and she can also see that (for a carpenter, everything looks like a nail). Also of course, I'm sure something can be done to correct the alterations found, or that them can point to other anomalies that can be corrected or improved! but my heart needs some peace too, I want to give a little help to the 14 years old child I once was, terrified by strange symptoms everybody even said there where my fault, since I didn't put effort in the damn psychological treatment, I "didn't have the will to improve" , "like to be ill",. "wanted to make others feel sorry for me", etc :( :( :(

    The Genova Diagnostics Nutreval test has been done by a number of people here, including me. It is both urine and serum, and gives a great deal of information about various amino acids and information related to the methylation cycle. You can find it: http://www.gdx.net/product/10051, and I'm sure there is a lot of information about it in prior threads on this forum.

    @lauluce

    I've had a number of their tests prescribed by my doctors (including NutrEval) and they all gave good information. Each of them showed clear abnormalities. Check with your insurance as Genova has certain tests that are almost always covered by the main carriers.

    Has anyone ever done the metametrix core effects toxins panel? My doc has recommended, very expensive, so I'm wondering if this test has benefited anyone.

    Thanks,

    JAH
