It seems that if this trial was set up correctly from the beginning with blinded and anonymized data sets this wouldn't be an issue?
No. You can anonymize the analysis side, but the data gathering side would still be unblinded and every claim rests on subjective data. Yet they even managed to get he statistical analysis wrong with at least two glaring errors.
