Hi,

Can I please get some input on alternatives to Clonezapam that have a similar mode of action.

I was using it for seizure like activity and as an NMDA receptor antagonist.

I have tried magnesium injections with little results lacking as of late.

Also considering that the drug wont aggrevate POTS as I have this as well.

Feedback would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

That would be other benzodiazepines / GABA agonists.

Please mind that stopping a benzodiazepine like clonazepam cold-turkey is very difficult to do for most, especially us ME-people with an excitatory nervous system have difficulty getting off. It often takes many months to safely taper a benzodiazepine.

Have you asked the specialist yet who prescribed you clonazepam if there's a better alternative to control the seizure like activity? What was your diagnosis?

Have you tried straight gaba? When my benzos stopped being effective I switched to this and I have found I don't build a tolerance
