Just thought other Australians would like to know about a fairly new advocacy website run by a couple of severe ME sufferers from Brisbane.

http://www.changeforme.net/

One area of particular interest is the resources page where you can submit recommended doctors and specialists. Having appointments with specialists is always a concern -- so the more recommended ones Australia wide the better

I almost missed this, thanks Hixxy.

Please note that they are listing doctors, psych's, neuros etc for every state so please recommend any good doctors no matter where you are in oz.

I've emailed them to find out if they are a registered Not for Profit yet as we can nominate them for charity fundraising if they are.

Check out some of their advocacy work http://www.changeforme.net/page12.php
Fantastic!

This could be a good resource. I had thought my post had slipped completely under the radar. Hopefully some others can contact them with suggestions.

I contacted them to ask if they were registered as a Not-For Profit & this was the reply.

We are not yet registered but are putting together the paperwork to become an Incorporated Association so that we can raise funds, etc. I hope that we will have this in place in the next month.
Anyone know if an Incorporated Association is considered a charity?
