In the "Professor Kenny De Meirleir on Chronic Fatigue" video, he states that the non-CFS twins have aerobic capacity well below the general population.

    Is that this 2001 study?
"Cognitive compromise following exercise in monozygotic twins discordant for chronic fatigue syndrome: fact or artifact?"

What else is there on that same topic? I'm finding twins studies but not on exercise. Thanks.

Not sure if there is anything else on this but I had a look at a 2004 paper from many of the same authors (appears to be the exact same twin cohort) which quotes the VO2max figures:
    Healthy Twins:18.9 ml O2/kg/min
    CFS Twins: 20.8
Those are extremely low VO2max figures for both healthy twins as well as controls, which makes me question the data, or whether the test was actually maximal. If it wasn't maximal, that undermines the findings of no effect on cognitive function.

From a table of typical values (non-CFS):
    the ranges:
excellent at 18-25 yrs old being >60
    excellent at 65+ being >37
and very poor 65+ being <20

I saw the twin study as very interesting as relates to the concept of "Pre-ME" used in the lecture precisely because I've been thinking over my own history and I see that most of the elements of my CFS were present beforehand, just to a smaller degree and not so omnipresent. I know that my own VO2 max wasn't great, in terms of easily getting out of breath yet I could go for long periods of breathing heavy without the PEM that came with the CFS.

Here is a informal page that someone had put together some time ago on CFS twin studies:
