    Genetic Genie reports that I have this snp. I have read here that it is "reported backwards" but I don't know what that means. What is the recommended treatment on this?

    If it's reported you as +/+ it means you have the faster version, which is actually the more beneficial one. The alarm about having that version is based on unrelated and inapplicable research.

    And should I just ignore VDR Taq AA?

    Yes, Taq AA is the safer version. Though the difference seems to be quite mild.
