I recently got a CT scan of my Pelvis and Abdomen because I kept feeling a weird sensation on my left side of torso.

The feeling is just like a slight pressure more towards the back then the front.

I have also had an ultrasound.

Everything came back 100 percent normal except that I had constipation. Seemed like there was food all throughout my colon and just not in the lower quadrant like it should be.

Other thing that came back was the “Calcified Nodule Cyst”. They said that I had two very tiny ones that where benign and not cancerous.

One was in my liver and one is on my left liver lobe.

My question is what is this all about? Is this common? They asked if I drunk a lot in the past and I said no because I didn’t. I do have heavy drinks once in a blue moon on special occasions but that is it.

    Questions:

+Can I still drink alcohol or should I stay away from it? Will my cyst increase do to Alcohol?

+What should I watch out for having a cyst in my Liver?

+I read something online saying that a calcified liver will heal itself and nothing special is required, is this

    true?

+I have a high IGA and an elevated IGM levels, does this have anything to do with that?

    P.S.

I have a five major complete work up blood tests drawn all from different Doctors saying that I am completely healthy.

I am 35 now, is this just a sign of getting old?

    Other symptoms…

Only two symptoms I really have left are the weird sensation that I have on my left face on my upper chick and around my left eye. I watch an extremely large amount of TV and on the computer like 24/7 doing large amounts of school work.

I did go to an allergist and got a complete work up done to find out what I am allergic to and found out that I am extremely allergic to grass and ragweed.

My primary doctor said that my face sensation is nothing and that I should just take a hot shower and lean over to let my sinuses drain.

I read somewhere else that sometimes you could have a dry face and you just need to put lotion on it.

My second symptom is just the weird sensation that I feel around my left side torso. Feels like there is a slight pressure their mainly when I sit down for long periods of time.

    Note:

Both of these symptoms have absolutely no pain. Nothing else has occurred and I have gotten completely better from everything else. I sleep absolutely great, I feel great, and I am happy. I would just like to finish up with these last few symptoms and move on with my life.

    P.S.

I did do a stool test 3 times which I did not obey the eating requirement all too well I think. But they did come back positive for “Fecal Occult Blood Test”, all three. But my Primary Doctor again said that was due to my bloating and they are not really reliable.

Basically at the end of the day I am just trying to figure out if I have IBS. I just want to know so I can move on with my life.

My dad has celiac and I have been tested 3 ways to Sunday saying I do not have Celiac. He has always had all kinds of abdominal pain and that is where I think I get this from.

    Medication:

I was told by my Doctor to take Metamucil and Probiotics which I have started and man let me tell you I feel much better on this stuff. I wish I knew why but I just do I guess. I have great bowl movements and no lower intestine pain right before going to the bathroom.

    Final Notes:

I have the other two tests but they say about the same exact thing and are only on paper.

So what does everyone think about all this?

    What should I do?

Am I essentially okay? Or do I have a possibly of developing cancer in the future more so then the next person? My family does not have a history of any major diseases that I know of.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

    Best,

I never thought I'd say this but too much white space now so I can't read this either. Who knew?

I have had a calcified cyst in my right kidney for probably 30 yrs. I used to get it checked every year but it is just sitting there, not being fed by anything. No one ever suggested I do anything about it.

Calcified cysts is likely irrelevant, and it sounds like your liver enzymes are normal, so that's very good news. It may have been there for a long while. Drinking alcohol, moderation is always better, which usually means 1-2 drinks max at the same time. Remember that if you have ME, your body is working overtime, so it is best not to tax it wint unnecessary stresses. Moreover I do not think there would be more the drs can do at this point, it would be no grounds for surgery, for instance, unless you have other signs and symptoms, like elevated liver enzymes and bilirubin. Or if you were jaundiced.

The most concerning bit in my opinion is your dr brushing off the occult blood in your feces, you have done the test to rule out just that, and it's abnormal. if I were you I'd ask to repeat the test or else to request a GI consult.

    Best wishes.

@Astrongtower By the way. The doctor who found my cyst was an orthopedic surgeon who had taken some X-rays of my back which was a mess. That is how they found my cyst. I had no idea, no issues and did not have ME at that time.

I also think it's every easy to be a "hypochondriac". Between all the crazy things that happen to us with this disease and how our brains are a mess, well I always think something is off. Like the time I had a pimple in my nostril! OMG Or the time I could hear my pulse in my ear, I was sure my brain was leaking.

I would request a GI consult. If your Primary Doctor has already ignored three positive fecal occult blood tests, s/he is likely to ignore a fourth.

I do not think I have ME though? What is that? Thank you for the information I really appreciate that.

I have went to a GI, Oconologist, Primary Doctor, Allergist, and several other Doctors.

GI Doctor says that I am fine and just recommended 3 things.

    1. Try lactose free for a week
    2. Try Gluten free for a week
    3. Try Probiotic for a week

He took the newer more sophisticated Celiac Disease blood test which said I do not have Celiac. This was tested because my father has Celiac.

I agree completely. Thank you for your comment it was soothing and has helped me.

Did you have blood in your stool when you saw these 'professionals'?

I never saw blood in my stool. Nor do I see blood in my stool now.

The GI Doctor is the one that recommended me to do the Occult Fecal Blood Test along with the Advanced Celiac Disease Test.

There was a lot you had to do right for the test like do not eat certain foods and what not and I can tell you that I do not think I waited long enough or did it right, was not that strict with myself.

Also i did two of the stools on the same day because I did not feel like waiting. Separate bowl movements just same day.

I think i read a statistic that 7 out of 10 people test positive for "Occult Fecal Blood", but I do not know.

My Doctor is completely unconcerned about it and I asked him several times about it. Do you think he is hiding something from me?

I think he chalked it up to that I was very constipated and there was a lot of food sitting high up in my colon in the CT scan. I mean the food was everywhere in my colon, it was bad, I was backed up and feeling uncomfortable.

Let me know what you think ...

I don't really know enough to have a strong opinion. "Fecal blood" sounds bad, but if your doctor is unconcerned it is likely not something to be concerned about. I don't know why he would hide anything from you.

He just said that it is extremely unreliable test, and that anything can set it off. like high in vitamins, red meats, even sinus problems can set it off.

The only thing left that I am thinking about is the left side of my face. Very very light sensation almost like sinuses or something. Kind of like when you feel the sun on your face and it tightens up from getting a tan or something. I mean it is like very slight pressure around my left Eye and upper left cheek.

I just took some Allegra and flownase to see if it is going to help.

My Doctor just said to stand in the shower and bend over to let the sinuses drain.

Just seems a little more than that but it could be that.

I just recently found out that I am extremely allergic to grass and ragweed.
