thanks for sharing this.... I really appreciated hearing her POV... one of the frustrations of a multi-system illness is that you can run around to specialists who all have a piece of the puzzle, but they will never fix you b/c they are not looking at the problem holistically... I agree w her framework: Gut - Mito - Adrenals - Thyroid

What a charming interview! Thank you for sharing!

One interesting point is that our heart uses 7% of our energy, our brain uses 20%, while the liver uses 27%! She says if we can make the liver's work easier, we'll have more energy to do other things. Worth pondering how do do that...

I'd love to see what happens after she reads Naviaux's papers...:nerd:

@Chocolove - Thanks for the video, I watched all of it! She talks about how bacteria from your mouth, just from eating or brushing your teeth easily get into the bloodstream, as well as from the gut and that problems arise when the body "sensitizes" to that bacteria that get into the bloodstream.

Twice in the video she says besides mercury, organophosphates and other toxins- That she is realizing more and more that products of the fermenting gut can also inhibit mitochondria, including bacterial endotoxins. I heard her say in a different web video, that even though she thinks mito. dysfunction is the ultimate cause of symptoms, she spends 50-60% of her time with patients, treating the gut!

I think a whole host of modern conditions are inflammatory conditions driven by bacteria and yeast. That includes autoimmunity, arthritis, urticaria, asthma, ulcers etc. I think these are all down stream of the fermenting gut.

She also says that not all of her patients have mito. dysfunction but have other immunological things that are draining there energy causing their cfs. Very interesting video!
