Why does my own body feel heavy to support. I can't even sit up without getting chest pain so here I am once more confined to my bed. Is it always this severe?:(. They say it is psychiatric yet my hypothyroid 12 years dx is now showing hyperthyroid in my blood. My period has stopped and I have protein in my urine. God only knows what else I have for lack of thorough testing. I am supposed to seee my gp tomorrow but the way i feel right now i wont be able to make it out the door. HYPOCHONDRIAC !! GIVE ME A EFFIN BREAK. To those supposed friends who think I am some sort of hypochondriac becos of all these sodding symptoms: They are NOT ANXIETY caused but oh yes they cause anxiety for sure. It is interesting how I havejoint hypermobility syndrome which relates to dysautonomia and CFS/FIBRO which also relates to dysautonomia. And a psych diagnoses fibro but never did i get referred back to rheumy since 2006 the HJS diagnosis was in 2006. OF COURSE it is dysautonomia not the primary kind of course but the kind that exists within these illnesses a disturbance/imbalance/malfunction of they autonomic nervous system.
The UK system really needs to practice some huminatarian ethics in their treatement of us sufferers cos SUFFERING is what this condition creates and RELENTLESSLY SO.:headache:

Is the chest pain new, sleepy? If so, I think you should consider calling an ambulance (seriously).

Sleepy, I'm about to go to bed and hope that others will pick up this thread but in the meantime: if your chestpain is new/worse and your doctor doesn't already know about this, I'd seriously consider calling an ambulance. If you're not sure, you could phone NHS Direct (0845 4647) and they will assess you on the phone immediately and if necessary, call an ambulance for you. I'm not medically trained but "chest pain" to my ears sounds potentially serious.

About your GP appointment tomorrow: I'd suggest that if you're not well enough to go in, you phone up and say so and ask for a visit or for them to deal with you on the phone. I am unable to get to my GP's surgery any more and they deal with me remotely - they recently sent a nurse out to take a blood sample. It's possible for them to do this, though they don't advertise it.

Good luck, Sleepy - I'm sorry you're feeling so ill.

Can anyone else help advise Sleepy? I am concerned about the chest pain and the "I feel like I'm dying" statement.

I was writing my longer reply above while you were replying to my earlier post, sorry! Looks as though my post wasn't very relevant to your situation.

Perhaps tomorrow you could tell your GP that you're still getting chest pains and think it is related to your getting up/laying down/blood pressure and ask to have this checked out. If it's your doctor fobbing you off with someone from mental health, I wonder if you could maybe look for a new GP! Maybe your local ME group could advise on who locally is better.

I'm off to bed now but again, I hope someone else can pick up on this - it's daytime in the States so hopefully lots of people reading!

Sasha: thank you for your concern but the chest pain has been part of this or so long now and ive had ambulances who look at me like im crazy cos ecg is fine on their arrival. The chest pain always passes and I am still here so history tells me it will pass again. It is this damn heavy body feeling alongside it i cant get up and walk and all just seems to be progressing. I dont know if I will ever have any form of recovery and i dont know what to do in the meantime. I had a stroke-like episode months ago and the cfs specialist said this was secondary symptom - inactivity so im striving to get out of bed but it is impossible with my level of fatigue/symptoms. I would phone ambulance if the pains got worse than the usual xx

    sorry you feel like this

it will pass - one way or another all things do

that simple fact allows me to endure when things get bad

I hope it does the same for you

If you have had the testing to be sure your heart is OK, it could be other things. For me, I REALLY was low on CoQ10. I had bad chest pains and the cardiologist said all was ok. The CoQ10 was fantastic for me. My heart really needed it. I only started my chest pain when I started with my POTS.

My CFS physician thinks that it is the virus attcking the heart when you get those periods of chest pains etc - he prescribes immunovir for that sometimes. Maybe if you print off some information for the doctor?
