After eating I feel full, then hungry, then full again

I've been noticing that after I eat I usually feel satisfied, but then 30-45 minutes later I sometimes feel hungry again even if I ate a high calorie meal. By "hungry" I mean that I feel like I haven't eaten anything in awhile, but I don't have an appetite so I never eat more when I experience this. Then after feeling "hungry" for a certain amount of time I feel full or satisfied again. Is this normal or is something malfunctioning?
