Hi, please answer the poll only if you have been officially diagnosed with CFS or ME.

The areas in question are: recreation, education, procreation or occupation

Note, option 4 was also meant to say "Limited ability to perform most activities in three of the listed areas".

Please compare to an average healthy individual. Please don't exaggerate; most means most. List all of the activities you can think of and then see if it fits under 'most'.

Interesting poll. Is this for research purposes or your own curiosity?

I still work but limit myself at work, my job is a full time position, but I only work 2 days and then have 1 day off for rest, and then 2 days of work again. I was under FMLA until being out of work last fall, not sure when I will be under FMLA again? I used to take classes to further my education, but quit doing that. I am not planning on having children, since I have trouble taking care of myself, I am a male. FYI

Also, I do very little recreation wise since I don't know what will make me crash and I cannot afford to miss work!

Recreation - My ideal of recreation these days is to watch a movie. No hiking, biking, walking or swimming, hanging upside down on a roller coaster, dancing till dawn, attending parties or even acting plum silly for me! I have a limited ability to read, write, converse and otherwise recreate with others nowadays.

Education - I've dropped 22 IQ points. nuf said

Procreation - The last time I had energy to have sex was December 1999 (sigh). Now I find the thought of sex to be tiring.

Occupation - I do manage to sit up for two hours per day and crochet or I can do the internet thing or I can do about 1hour in the garden. I can only do one of these activities per day plus cook for myself and attend to personal hygiene. I sleep 12 hours straight and nothing wakes me up during the down times.
