The Association does not have any samples at this time. In addition to the HHS Working Group, Dr. Vernon has been working to connect researchers interested in replication studies with clinicians/researchers who already have samples (or could provide them quickly). Like I said (somewhere), that information is all confidential.

I will look for clarification on what the Association has said to the Working Group, whether in the form of a written submission like you suggest or through Dr. Vernon's participation on the conference calls. My understanding is that the first phase replication effort will use patient and control samples from WPI, not CDC. Regardless, we do not support the use of Reeves' empiric definition in selecting patients for these studies.
