Does the Danish health system not allow people to choose what hospital to go to?

(To the best of my understanding...)

According to the following page, patients are free to choose their hospital throughout Denmark - if authorized by their doctor*. Additionally, if a hospital has a long wait, it will be removed from the list of available choices. And an individual's freedom to choose can also be restricted in other unspecified, exceptional cases. (See link for more info / Danish and google translate)

*This Aalborg (municipality) page says that you're free to choose a doctor who has available openings and who is within 15 kilometers (ca 9 miles) of your home.

(What if there is no doctor within 15 kilometers?? What if you want to see a doctor who is 16 kilometers from your home??) (Danish and google translate)

From the Nordjylland region website, here are the hospitals specifically in that region (original English + a different info page in Danish and its google translate):

The following page from the official Danish Healthcare Services lists CFS/PVFS/ME under "psychiatric" as a somatoform disorder.

Described (with other somatoform disorders) as: More common among women; Both symptoms and the doctor-patient relationship are affected by social and cultural factors; A significant amount of people receiving disability benefits have a somatoform disorder; In the most severe cases, patients consume a lot of healthcare services and the doctor-patient relationship can be problematic; Psychiatric care or possibly care in a special clinic may be neccessary.
