Personal genetics-testing startup 23andMe is teaming up with Genentech to try to identify new treatments for Parkinson’s disease . . . . Under the deal, Genentech will sequence the whole genomes of about 3,000 people with Parkinson’s disease in 23andMe’s database, and use that data to look for new therapeutic targets that could treat the neurodegenerative condition.
