Has this already been posted? If so, we can get rid of this thread. But if not, below are two links to the powerpoint presentations that presenters at the 1st Int'l XMRV conference/workshop are making available to the public.

I did email the conference/workshop organizer and she said that nothing, except the closing session which was the Q&A, is or will be made available on video. Boo hoo.

But she did point me to the powerpoint presentations. Did folks see these yet? Here are the two links to the two days. The powerpoint presentations are the hypertext links on the right column, where it says, "Pres" (as in "presentation" I assume)

The last 2 slides (before the acknowlegements at the end) in the rhesus macaques study are interesting. Unfortunately, they can't seem to be copied or printed.

If I'm reading this correctly, they didn't seem to find the virus in the heart, brain or adrenal gland which I find surprising. I wonder if that comes later or posssibly co-infections take hold in those areas.

xmrv is not in the brain? isn't the other well known retrovirus, HIV, known to infect the brain?

Looking at the pooling of virus I wonder if this is why I have had recurrent epididymitis since my ME all kicked off. Doctor has repeatedly treated me with ABX for it but it has , bit by bit just got worse. It has now spread to the other testicle. It has been scanned and rescanned but I have been advised that there is nothing that can be done unless it is painful (more ABX)

Perhaps we should concider those facts:
1) They didn't test "The brain" - they tested the brain stem. I guess it's possible that other areas of the brain would be infected. Isn't it?
2) They did find an infection in the brain when they used the FISH test.

Must say I found this very interesting - Immune disorder to Nervous system disorder (is that the right way round) - but what causes in the first place.
