Hi all
I had giardia for 2ish years, misdx'd as ibs-d
i took metronydizol..didn't work AT ALL
xifaxan, it was free so i just took it. didn't notice a difference one way or the other
and 2 rounds of tindamax. finally got rid of it
i was still mildly symptomatic off and on so i ordered a 3 day genova test recently came back highly positive for Aeromonas Caviae. i'm just assuming this occurred when i acquired giardia because i believe it's related to contaminated water.
what's the best abx for this? i cannot take cipro because i have hEDS. bactrim maybe? i wanted to order some from alldaychemist and skip the doctor altogether..not even sure if she'd take me seriously, blah
maybe bactrim..follow up with xifaxan

also i'm positive this is why iron supplements give me bizarre flare ups
