Let's make sure we downvote that one -- no need to waste Dr Hornig's time.
I've just had two downvotes on the question in my first link in the last 5 minutes. I can understand it not being upvoted but why would you downvote it? What is the matter with people?

Anybody understand why questions aren't ordered by # of votes even after "refreshing" my screen by leaving the Science subreddit and getting back in? Even on the front page the titles are in order by # of votes??

The reddit algorithm is more complex than just calculating the down and upvotes. Time plays also a role. But I don't know, how it really works.
Well, mine could do with some more votes - it's a question drawing attention to the donation link in Dr Hornig's blurb and asking her about why she thinks ME/CFS funding is only $5m/year and 1/60th per head of MS funding:
