Does anyone else experience a quiet ticking noise when their head pressure is releasing?

It's very bizarre. I've only become fully aware of it in the past few months, but whenever I can feel my head pressure releasing, I'll quite often get this quiet ticking nose behind my nose, eyes and forehead. It's almost like a ticking clock! I have to be in a quiet room to be able to hear it.

I'd be very interested to know what this could be? My only conclusion so far is that it's a noise produced from the intracranial pressure releasing...?

Interestingly, my ear fullness, head pressure, cog impairment and sinusitis, all seem to be interlinked. Whenever the head pressure starts to release, everything else seems to clear up too! Why?? Am I perhaps stuck in a TH2 immune response? As all immune modulants that balance an overactive TH2 immune system, seem to make me feel more balanced and normal....

Thanks for reading! :)

I get ear liquid when head is releasing. The brain titunus goes down a lot.
I ussually get head bumps ( like when you fell in the hard floor when you were a child) and those goes down too. I have not noticed ticking noice.

Have you heard of eustachian tube dysfunction? It's worth googling.

Thanks for reminding me of this. I 100% have this. As i'm writing this, it feels like I'm taking off on an aeroplane...

I've had inner ear issues since a child, but nothing was really found when I saw ENT specialists. It'd probably be worth having another check now, no? It's been at least 6-7 years since I last saw a specialist

Have you tried any self-help measures? This video might be helpful :

Almost all of the techniques mentioned cost nothing or are extremely cheap and don't require a doctor to try them out. You have nothing to lose by trying them.

This is kind of late, but I just noticed the thread. Fogbuster, did you have orthodontic work when you were growing up? Did you ever have teeth taken out? What you are describing sounds like you cranial bones shifting a little bit, which is normal. This might be related to an underdeveloped upper jaw (maxilla). If you look up myofunctional therapy for adults, you can see some exercises which can actually help correct this and some of your symptoms (sinus stuff, etc) might improve.

I hear a sound and feel it as well, it sounds more like the bones on my skull are creaking but also feels like fluid in soft tissue moving, expanding, don't know what it's doing. I don't have it all the time but I get it regularly.

That also sounds related to cranial sutures, from what I have read, although the idea that adult cranial sutures are not fully fused is very controversial, apparently.
