I´m not sure the idea of exploring Gulf War Syndrome by attempting to give it to mice is entirely valid, but I think that the idea of using a mouse model for particular mechanisms that we know are deregulated in GWS or ME is a good one.

I wonder why they didn´t just send the mice to invade Iran?

(Disclaimer: this is a joke at the expense of the scientists, not GW veterans, who I think have been treated appalingly).

I think in addition to the chemical exposures of GWS, many veterans also experienced high levels of stress. High levels of stress are also known to cause or worsen dysbiosis and increase intestinal permeability, as well as chemical exposures can.

They had trouble making kevlar vests small enough, is what I heard.
