It seems so: "She will TRIPLE any donations made during these final days up to a total of $5,000. How does it work? If you donate $25, for example, she will kick in $75. The triple matching campaign will end when a total of $10,000 is reached. It's that simple." http://www.prohealth.com/library/showarticle.cfm?libid=30357
I saw that, and 'knowing' Erica I would expect that she has considered it and taken it into account, but just want to make sure.

But is my brain playing (its usual) tricks when confused over "$5,000" and "$10,000"?

Erica used to be on here but I can't find her now.

I think generally speaking, very few charities will promote the work of other charities if they are in the same sphere. That's just my impression. It would be a bit detrimental to their cause if MEA started highlighting all the great work iime are doing and suddenly all the MEA members left and paid money to iime instead. I could be wrong maybe someone more familiar with charity work could explain.

they both mentioned it last year:

I have no idea what the PR facebook page is like I don't use facebook
Nor do I; but if you click on the link I gave you can look at it. This is the home page which you can also look at (just click on not now when it asks you to register, the banner still covers part of the page but you can still 'look around':
https://www.facebook.com/PhoenixRisingMECFS/

Maybe we need a separate thread to discuss the FB page?

I still can't figure it out! :bang-head:

This is so wonderful for Erica to do this!! My hope abounds from reading this, that we can make it happen for David and for us.

Thank you, Erica!

Please everyone do as much as you can and find others to help too. Let's see PACE go away for good.

Thank you everyone for your donations and all your efforts to make this happen. And always, a big thank you to David Tuller, too!

I suspect the tripling means if, for example you give $100 she will give $200 so the total given is $300, in other words your original $100 has been tripled to $300.

This means a maximum of $5000 given by other people will be matched by a maximum of $10000 by Erica. Total maximum achieved, $15000.

I expect Erica will do it manually, maybe when she's at $5k, or maybe every now and again. Thanks a lot of Erica for making that commitment.
If this is the case then it's hard to know where things lie.

It's funny, everytime there is a campaign of doubling or tripling of donations, they always seem to make it confusing.

Let's just say Erica's tripling kicks in at 50k. Then in theory if 52.5k is reached Erica will match the 2.5 with 7.5 and the target of 60k is met.

But I would like more clarification!

I'm happy to be confused by someone whacking in an extra $5k [and I think she said that was the maximum from her, so if we're under $55k we still have more money to raise].
