Wow that's incredibly generous of Erica.
Does it apply to donations from outside the US?Wow that's incredibly generous of Erica.
I think that should do the trick, anyone who has been on the sidelines should jump in now for the last push.
I don't see how she would know where the donations came from so I am 99.99% sure they apply for any donations given through the crowdrise page.Does it apply to donations from outside the US?
It seems so: "She will TRIPLE any donations made during these final days up to a total of $5,000. How does it work? If you donate $25, for example, she will kick in $75. The triple matching campaign will end when a total of $10,000 is reached. It's that simple." http://www.prohealth.com/library/showarticle.cfm?libid=30357Does it apply to donations from outside the US?
I saw that, and 'knowing' Erica I would expect that she has considered it and taken it into account, but just want to make sure.It seems so: "She will TRIPLE any donations made during these final days up to a total of $5,000. Now online: http://investinme.org/newsletter.shtml#2017Re. the ME charities, I guess it goes without saying that Invest in ME Research (IiME/IiMER) have helped spread the word of David Tuller's crowdrise via their pre-conference dinner, on Facebook, Twitter and now in their free e-newsletter which was mailed out yesterday.
My brain hadn't spotted that! But is my brain playing (its usual) tricks when confused over "$5,000" and "$10,000"?
I think generally speaking, very few charities will promote the work of other charities if they are in the same sphere. That's just my impression. It would be a bit detrimental to their cause if MEA started highlighting all the great work iime are doing and suddenly all the MEA members left and paid money to iime instead. I could be wrong maybe someone more familiar with charity work could explain.
Nor do I; but if you click on the link I gave you can look at it. This is the home page which you can also look at (just click on not now when it asks you to register, the banner still covers part of the page but you can still 'look around':I have no idea what the PR facebook page is like I don't use facebook

Does anyone know if the donations are automatically matched on crowdrise as people donate or are they going to be matched afterwards when a certain sum has been reached?
If this is the case then it's hard to know where things lie.I expect Erica will do it manually, maybe when she's at $5k, or maybe every now and again. Thanks a lot of Erica for making that commitment.

It's funny, everytime there is a campaign of doubling or tripling of donations, they always seem to make it confusing.
Let's just say Erica's tripling kicks in at 50k. Then in theory if 52.5k is reached Erica will match the 2.5 with 7.5 and the target of 60k is met.
But I would like more clarification!
