Hi Jose

As far as I know, holisticheal.com will give you decent-to-good quality supplements. I'm not sure exactly what you were asking, but those links will give you the supplements you are looking for. You may want to shop around for better prices, though.

I wouldn't bother with that multi-vitamin. It's badly over-priced, has a bunch of extra ingredients which cause some people problems, and uses folic acid instead of an active folate.

Hi José,

If Spanish is your native language you might get god help from Inuoinmusic Phoebus on FB, or from @serg1942 here on PR. He knew Rich, and as almost an understatement he knows a lot about ME/CFS and methylation among other related health issues and treatments.

1. B-minus: https://www.seekinghealth.com/b-minus-100-capsules
2. Hydroxocobolamin: https://www.seekinghealth.com/hydroxo-b12-60-lozenges or http://www.holisticheal.com/hydroxy-b12-mega-drops.html
3. Methylfolate: https://www.seekinghealth.com/l-5-mthf-60-capsules or life extension
4. Folinic Acid: https://www.seekinghealth.com/folinic-acid-60-capsules
5. Lecithin / Phosphatidylcholine: https://www.seekinghealth.com/optimal-pc-100-softgels or Now Brand

Depending on where you are in the world getting everything from one place might save you some money on shipping, so I included a seekinghealth option for all of them. Good luck!

@aaron_c is excellent! Thank you very much.

Sunflower lecithin I can buy in Spain at a good price.

I only have one question: following the protocol of Rich, what is the dose equivalent of B-Minus to the All-In-One?

Best regards.

following the protocol of Rich, what is the dose equivalent of B-Minus to the All-In-One?

Hard to say, because "all-in-one" has way more stuff in it--but generally at a pretty low dose. B-minus has more of the b vitamins, but it doesn't have any minerals, folates, or fat-soluable vitamins. I don't believe B-minus was around when Rich started his protocol and I think he recommended it at some point.

In any case, the serving size of B-minus is one pill per day and I'd go with that.

Thank you. Is there anyone who has successfully used B-Minus to unlock methylation?

Greetings.

Can Niacin in the dose of the image go against methylation?

Thank you.

I have heard that niacin is a "methyl sponge," meaning that it absorbs methyl groups. That doesn't mean it is bad, though, just that if you are focused on methylation you may not want to take huge amounts of niacin. B-minus does not have a large amount of niacin, so it is fine. Niacin is necessary to produce NADH and NADPH, which are essential for a whole lot of things.

Basically, don't worry about niacin.

B-minus is a b-complex that specifically does not have folates (either folinic acid or methylfolate). This is so that you can add either/both of them yourself at the appropriate dose(s). So no, b-minus on its own will do little for your methylation situation. Think of it as playing a supporting role.

Hi.

Seeking Health told me:

Hello,

Good day!

Thank you for contacting Seeking Health regarding the B Minus. This product contains 180 mg of niacin: 150 mg as inositol hexanicotinate and 30 mg as niacin. I apologise for the inconvenience his may have caused you. I already requested for the pdf label to be updated on the website.

Thank you for your time!

Best Regards.

Some niacin is OK. 1500 mg of niacin might be too much. 150 mg is just fine. The form doesn't matter.

@José Segundo here is what I was able to buy a couple years back..

---

Simplified Methylation Protocol - October 2014 modification

Here is a "modern" version of the SMP that I was able to to put together:

1. All-in-One Multivitamin / Mineral - (1 to 4 capsules per day) - http://www.holisticheal.com/all-in-one-multi-vitamin-mineral-120-capsules.html

2. Swanson Ultra Supplemelts Sublingual Vitamin B12 (hydroxycobalmin) - 2 tablets per day under tounge - http://www.swansonvitamins.com/swanson-ultra-supplemelt-sublingual-vitamin-b-12-1000-mcg-60-tabs

3. Solgar Metafolin 400mcg (1/2 tablet per day) - http://www.iherb.com/Solgar-Folate-As-Metafolin-400-mcg-100-Tablets/14274#

4. Source Naturals MegaFolinic 800mcg (1/4 tablet per day) http://www.iherb.com/Source-Naturals-MegaFolinic-800-mcg-120-Tablets/7735#

or

Kirkman Labs Folinic Acid 400mcg (1/2 capsule) - http://www.amazon.com/Folinic-Acid-400-mcg-Capsules/dp/B008BOSMC0

5. NT Factor EnergyLipids Powder (1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon, once or twice a day) - http://www.pureformulas.com/nt-factors-energy-lipid-powder-150-grams-by-nutricology.html#.

If you are on a budget, #5 can be replaced by sunflower lecithin but the NT Factor seems to have a much more potent effect.

Hello

According to my genetics, do you think it is advisable to follow this treatment?

Thank you!

@José Segundo

You are MTHFR compound heterozygous. You might be helped by it. You might not.

you don't have the "severely bad methylation" genes - but your methylation function might be partially reduced.

The best way would be to get a lab test for your homocyestine level. If it's high, you might want to try it. If it's normal, maybe you don't need to.

You can also check your histamine levels. If it's high, methylation is bad and you might need to try a methylation protocol.

Make sure you get enough B2 so your MAO A gene functions well.

You might do better with 5-methyltetrahydrofolate and methyl B12 than folinic acid and hydroxo B12. And yes, niacin can reverse methylation, so you can take a little, but not too much.

Your homocysteine isn't too bad, but are you making and recycling glutathione?

The Genova Diagnostics NutrEval test has been incredibly useful to my family in personalizing our methylation protocols. Seeiking Health is a great resource. You might do their genetics interpretation and get yourself a copy of the Pathway Planner to understand the dynamics better.

And how's your vitamin D level?
