Long QT Syndrome?

Just got some test results back from my GP. My GP sent me for a electrocardiogram because I suspected that I have orthostatic hypotension. The result came back showing that I may have Long QT Syndrome (LQTS). Totally caught off guard by this. I don't think it is genetic and we looked up medications that can cause it and I am not on any of them. Has LQTS ever been mentioned in any ME/CFS literature?

@acouchy There is some good news. Supplementation with magnesium and thiamine (vitamin B1) might help this.
Since an estimated 70-80% of the population in the USA are deficient in Magnesium, this is worth looking into.

This might be an easy fix (or not) but worth checking out before a doctor has you try something more drastic. Most doctors are not trained in nutrition and may miss this.

Check out these articles:

of magnesium can cause ... hypomagnesemia is related to thiamine deficiency because ... The ECG may show a tachycardia with a prolonged QT ...

Of course it would be best to run this by your doctor first - and include copies of the articles.

I seem to remember they found long qt or something with me at night on 24 hour ekg, dont know why. Other tests were fine. When i went out jogging they also found episodes of different tachycardia, which I had complained of before though no one believed me. My hunch is that something in the circulation is awry, as the echochardiogram was fine.

Interesting. I also had an echocardiogram done about a month ago and everything was fine. I have been complaining to my GP for a few years that my lips look blue. I also have also noticed that I have changes in the colouring of my finger and toe nails. It does appear to be something going on with circulation.
