Does anyone know if L. Salivarius is contraindicated in CFS? There's a poster here who's mentioned in a few threads that he believes L. Salivarius triggered a permanent worsening of his symptoms, though the probiotic he was taking contained severe L strains.

I'm trying this at the moment: http://www.customprobiotics.com/d-lactate-free-probiotics.html

It's only been one day and I feel awful -- far more fatigued than usual. I just hope I didn't waste $100 :-/

I only take probiotic strains that reduce histamine, or down regulate the receptors, and once I started using those probiotics, I started getting benefits.

The probiotic I linked is purportedly histamine-free/degrading. That doesn't answer my question about L. Salivarius, however ..

MCAS is often co-morbid w CFS, so anything that causes increased histamine would be contra-indicated.

It may be contra-indicated for other reasons, but the MCAS issue is all I've got
