Nice come back Esther.
The use of PCR cant find an integrated virus fact
Before using a different assay method you must first calibrate it- Fact
RNA and B and T cells keep frozen for a maximum of two years- fact
none of the european studies used blood taking techniques specifically for virology purposes - fact
The mclure study did not culture for anything like the amount of time as did the wpi 18 hours versus 42 days and used cells known not to express XMRV . astonishing fact
None of the european studies used any amplification or activation proceedures - fact
none of the european studies used fresh peripheral blood fact
The groom study used tainted controls - fact
All european studies used different diagnostic criterea fact
Why do they need more information when they did not bother to use what was in the public domain in the first place
If they did not realise how difficult XMRV was to find then they had not read about it at all---it lay undetected in the human genome for generations without ever being detected.
The dutch study used patients who self referred for CBT diagnosed by telephone Fact
The researchers themselves stated that these patients had symptoms due to psychological factors social isolation and inactivity fact
The WPI study would not have got through the science peer review process if there was insufficient information to enable another worker to replicatete their study--This is one of the core purposes of peer review -fact---ANY PROFESSIONAL SCIENTIST KNOWS THIS
I appreciate the temptation to use subjective terminology like think and feel to evaluate evidence of this nature
Unfortunately the quality of scientific work can only be evaluated according to precise objective criterea.
This does not mean that an individuals perspective is to be dismissed and may indeed be valid according to their preconceptions.
It iis however highly unlikely to be accurate.
This is of course once again why we have proffesional independent scientists involved in objective assessment during the peer review process
There is an old saying "if all else fails try following the instructions" .
