Hi, I've recently confirmed I have POTS thank's to a tilt table test. I read many times that in CFS patients, POTS is related to low blood volume, known as hypovolemia. Does any of you know is there is any test for hypovolemia? thanks in advance

Interesting thread although a little too complicated for my brain to follow LOL. My cardiologist told me yesterday that she suspects I have low blood volume b/c I have very low blood pressure and tachycardia (demonstrated on different tests.) She had me lie down and then stand up and she was pressing on the vein in my neck when she made that statement (although I did not do an actual test as described in the other thread.) But it was enough for her to recommend Florinef which I have not tried yet (and posted about in another thread.)

I have heard of only a few who have actually been tested so far - and yet they say it I a common symptom of ME and FM and EDS and POTS....

You should try to get tested, get a tilt table test, since that thest can by itself allow to diagnose POTS.
The simple definition and diagnostic criteria of POTS is what follows:

"An operational definition of the syndrome includes symptoms of orthostatic intolerance associated with an increase in heart rate from the supine to upright position of more than 30 beats per minute or to a heart rate of greater than 120 beats per minute within 10 minutes of head-up til (HUT). These criteria are derived for adults, and larger heart rates are likely observed in children and adolescents with POTS."

By this criteria, I don't need a doctor to conclude that i've got POTS since my heart rate increases from 90 qhen the table is parallel to the ground with me lying down to 140 within 10 minutes of HUT (when the table is perpendicular to the ground, with me standing).
There are treatments for this, you should really give it a try, you could get a lot better.
