After some really bad weeks, in which I think I did too much gamma globulin (even though I never did more than 1 gram per week!), I am now doing better. I took a 2.5 week break from the gamma globulin and also went OFF my antivirals.
As a result, I have had some really good days in the last week! I was able to vacuum for about 30 minutes one day (amazing for me!), with no PEM the next day. And then go on a slow 5-10 min walk the following day, which is huge for me. I did have PEM the next day after the walk.
But it is clear that something is helping me. I have started doing a few other things, so I'm not sure what is helping me, but I think it could be the Gamma Globulin.
Other things I started/stopped:
1. re-started fish oil (to help the absolutely horrific brain fog it got from doing too much gamma globulin)
2. upped the UltraClear (liver detoxifier)
3. coffee enemas (liver detoxifier)
4. re-started colostrum (to boost immune system)
5. I also went *off* the antivirals (famvir) I was on for 10 months
I'll be switching to the Gammunex-C brand this week, as I heard it is better filtered than the other gamma globulin products (true? Not sure.). Like the GammaGARD brand, a single 10 ml bottle of Gammunex-C is 1 gram of gamma globulin. (Whereas the Hizentra brand is 1 gram in just a 5 ml bottle, so Hizentra is a thicker solution.) I'll do about 1/3 gram of gamma globulin via Gammunex-C each week. At least to start with. Again, I found that if I did too much more than that, I got much sicker and very very bad brain problems.
