I wanted to print a copy of King's recent Las Vegas Sun article, and while I believe I found a copy on his White House Chronicle site - I can no longer access the Vegas Sun article. I tried the Vegas Sun link I myself saved. I tried various links posted by others on PR and elsewhere. I did a search on the Vegas Sun site as well with no luck.

Is this a widespread glitch - or has this story been "disappeared"?!

This is the link I had saved: http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2013/dec/05/llewellyn-king-hns/
There are still options to share the story, etc. - though email, for example, doesn't work - I tried to access the story that way... You get linked back to the same empty page.

Yes, thank you - that's it.

It would be nice to understand though why it's been removed from the Las Vegas Sun - and if this is a temporary glitch, or if something/someone prompted the removal of this article. As far as I can tell, it's not showing up in the Sun's archives either. Except for the options to share the article (and which do not work), there's no longer a record of the article on the Sun, as far as I can tell.

As far as I can tell also it has vanished from the LV Sun paper online.

It's also missing from their archive page for 5 december 2013: http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2013/dec/05/

But someone did reference the story on the White House Chronicle site above and pasted comments from the LV Sun story there.

And as I said, where the original story was on LV Times Sun, there remains the option to email the now missing article:

EDIT UPDATE: (As explained by a Las Vegas Sun representative...)

"The Las Vegas Sun issued an apology late Sunday after inadvertently posting New York Times content prematurely at lasvegassun.com and also publishing Times story lists that were not meant to be released online..."

It seems though that the NY Times content doesn't have anything to do with King's article. You might be able to find out by contacting King. If he doesn't know already, I'm sure he'd want to know this happened.

The orignial story link ends in "hns" (post 1), and the article as posted on the WH Cronicle ends with "For the Hearst-New York Times Syndicate".

And "I write a weekly column for the Hearst-New York Times Syndicate." http://www.linkedin.com/pub/llewellyn-king/9/809/483

This is obviously not high priority with the IOM panel deadline, etc looming - It just caught my eye. :) I do wonder though if this article was submitted to and rejected by the New York Times or perhaps the Chronicle is part of the hns... Just something to keep on the mental backburner, I suppose.

I tried posting a question on the Chronicle site, but it's never appeared... Again, no big deal though, as there are bigger fish to fry...
