Googling inosine tonight etc and came across another forum/thread on this subject which mentioned the above. So 500mg tab of immunovir contains 125mg of inosine. Im looking this up to compare doses. So going by this 750mg a day is need to be equivilant to the normal 3000mg a day in divided doses of imunovir thats commonly recommended.

Money is abit tight of late and looking for something to increase nk function and imunovir is just too costly at the moment.

So can anyone clarify what i have mentioned above?

A few studies i have come across have mention inosines anti-inflammmatory effects against inflammatory cytokines, so plain inosine seem like it can help us with inflammation even if it may not increase nk function like imunovir. I noticed a few years ago that taking inosine reduces that grating type feeling in my joints and my doc said that inosine is probably doing this, he laso mentioned that uric acid in the body acts as an antioxidant. I did get some value from it and im thinking about giving it another run soon.

Quoting from No Poster Girl's blog: http://nopostergirl.com/2011/06/22/my-weapons-grade-insomnia-part-ii/

When I went to see Cheney in April, I asked him why inosine helped my insomnia. He explained that inosine produces uric acid, which scavenges peroxynitrite. Peroxynitrite, he told me, is produced in a cytokine storm in the brain, which, among other things, is a mechanism of sleep disturbance. Blocking that cytokine storm with inosine, then, helps me sleep.

My cfs doctor told me to take either Immunovir or inosine. Since the price for inosine is so much more reasonable, it was a no-brainer for me. Pm me and I will let you know where I order mine from.
