Anything specific you're hoping to receive from them?

I could recommend several, depending on what you're looking for.

I believe that dr. dedra buchwald worked with dr. komaroff, and his office recommends her. she is in seattle. i don't know what her approach is, or what her strengths are. but she may be worth investigating.

I've been seeing Dr. Deichert from the Instititute of Complimentary Medicine for about a year. His office is on Capitol Hill in Seattle. He is not an ME/CFS specialist, but he knows his stuff and is willing to test lots of things and try various approaches, both naturopathic and conventional.

I've mostly been working with him to investigate and deal with my OI issues, but have also had tests run to get a broader look at what's going on. Initially he had me try a supplement blend that worked great for a month or so, but slowly stopped having any effect. Now I'm trying Strattera (for the past 3 weeks), and having good results with that so far.

My initial appointment was about an hour and a half I think, and followups have been half an hour. Costs are reasonable ($120 for the followups?), but probably not covered by US insurance. Some of my followups have been by phone while I'm living in the Netherlands - though I'm back in Seattle visiting family currently.

Hey,
My main issues are extreme fatigue (especially after any physical activity) and sore muscles. More doctor recommendations are greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Hello- I wanted to see if anyone had any updated recommendations for providers in the NW? I do see a ND who is great but I am more looking for an ARNP/MD to add to the clinicians that I see.

Thanks!

Dr. Deichert who I mentioned above is both a fully licensed ND and an ARNP. He's helped me both with supplements as well as trying a prescription drug for my OI. He's now at Seattle Healing Arts: http://www.seattlehealingarts.com/pracs/prac_deichert.htm

Sounds like Dr Buchwald is a typical BPS believer advocating UK-style teams of useless idiots for diseases she believes are psychosomatic:
In caring for people with complex medical, cultural and economic issues, one needs to use the resources of a multidisciplinary team committed to treating the whole person
Screw "culture and economic issues". If I go to a doctor, I want medical care, not their philosophy about the psychosomatic influences of my social situation. The physiotherapist and psychologist can stay home too.

Ditto what lazzlazz says. I need a doctor in Seattle area also. I have a naturopath that I am trying, but in Washington State naturopaths are very limited. So I need a new gp doctor that actually will help me.
