My methyl-B12 5000 arrived today. I havent got any B9 yet though and have been assured the B-12 wont work unless i take B9 too.
I didnt want to wait for another few weeks before getting the B9, i live in the UK and i saw that our leading herbal suppliers here sell this ;

It looks like the thing id been told i need.
Can anyone tell me if its worth me asking someone to go to that shop and get it for me so that i have some in quite soon, or do i definately need to order a different variety online ?
Any help on this would be much appreciated.

Andrew, it's generally recommended that you stay away from folic acid because an unkown percentage of people aren't able to utilize it. Unfortunately you wouldn't really know unless you get genetic testing. For this reason both Fred and Rich recommend staying away from folic acid.

Both these websites sell the type you should buy and delivery shouldn't take more than a couple of days.

Hi,
Sorry i got confused between folic and Folate Tablets.
Since i already have the methyl-B12 5000 is it worth trying without the Folate, or will that simply have no effect ?

You might as well give it a go but your chances of success will be reduced if you don't have the necessary co-factors in place. Often when people just take b12 on its own it causes other deficiencies to show up and this seriously stalls the healing process.

Are you wanting to follow Freddd's protocol? You should be able to get everything you need from H&B. Be careful about magnesium because most supplements are magnesium oxide which are poorly absorbed (gives stomach problems). Magnesium malate, glycinate and chloride tend to be better. There's also a magnesium spray you use on your skin and more shops, including H&B, are selling it.

Here's the link for Freddd's protocol if you don't already have it:-

Andrew.. I think you will get some temporary relief from the methyl B12 on its own...but for a long term strategy you need the folate and b12.
Rich has written about the risks of taking too much methyl B12...so don't pop them like candy (many are sweetened ...so it's easy to do.)
