CEBV was an early name given to CFS, so in that case, they're one and the same.

Although not everyone with cfs has chronic ebv. EBV is more of a sign that our immune systems are down and cant suppress ebv from reactivating. EBV and other herpes viruses dont normally reactivate in people with healthy immune systems. So ebv reactivating maybe because our immune systems are down because of another infection like a retrovirus or some type of immune defiency.

CEBV was an early name given to CFS, so in that case, they're one and the same.

The CDC tried to say that an outbreak at Incline Village in the mid 80's was Epstein Barr Virus, but that was proven not to be true because the outbreak was Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. That's how it very briefly got the name CEBV.

Remember CFS is a broad diagnosis (the mothership) that includes Ross River Fever, Lyme Disease, Post Viral Syndrome, Chronic Epstein Barr Virus, Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, etc etc etc. So it is quite hard to say how it differs from CFS..
