Not sure what a "dear sir" letter is. I'm embarrassed to say....

The Gucci shoes are supposed to be a gift from a special interest though. Might have needed an extra slide to convey the message.

I'm slapping these together and have another coming.

Ah got it now....

Obvious the scientist, Larry Schonberger of the CDC, intended to make a big joke out of of CFS outbreaks around the office with his little letter. Really dang cute eah....

That letter would be perfect for the cartoon for sure.
