First, let me say it's so nice to finally be able to access and log in to this website. I've been gone a long time.

On April 4, I will see my new PCP who is a specialist in immune and auto-immune illnesses. He and his partner are using peptide injections which are designed to correct peptide abnormalities in the CNS/immune systems. It has been used successfully in Europe, with virtually no side effects, for 35 years.

Since peptides are the building blocks for amino acids/proteins, this would seem to be supported by the latest research.

I will let y'all know more after I see the doc. These treatments are not FDA approved so one has to have the doc order the material and the patient goes to the office and self-injects. It generally takes 10 injections to get the intended results. The injections cost $300 but the office visit is usually covered by ins.

If anyone has experience with this, please let us know how it's going.

Would you feel comfortable sharing the name of your PCP? Feel free to PM me if you do not wish to post. A friend and I are VERY interested in Peptides and have located two docs who do it in FLA, but we're trying to find more docs and gather more info. Not much comes up in a google search.

Anyone else trying these Peptide Injections? The clinic my friend went to offers several approaches. One, you can have your blood sent away and analyzed in England to develop your own peptide treatment, but that can take up to 6 months!

They also offer general injections for Lupus, and a broad spectrum Immunomodulator for: CFS, Ulcerative Colitis, Hashimoto Thyroditis and many more.

I had my blood drawn last year and sent somewhere in Europe. The peptide they came up with is called SAM-PD....I have know idea what that means and have googled SAM-PD with no results. I didn't start the peptide injections at the time because of the cost and not knowing if they would work. I know there is no cure but if the injections could keep me from crashing it would be worth it. I was getting gluthoine IV's twice a week and they pulled me out of bed and into the living world. I've been very active and without brainfog for eight months, going on walks, seeing friends etc... Two weeks ago I crashed and i'm back to being some what prone. I know what caused the crash STRESS. Going back to my doctor in October to talk about doing the Peptide injections.
