I saw my doctor today on another matter aling with my mouth. He gave me Valtrex and said that it is similar to the soar mouths that HIV patients get. He seemed surprised that I do not get cold soars Feels to me like my soar throat has just spread in to the mouth, kind of like the roof of my mouth is burnt. Winder if you can get that from blood transfusiin?
I wonder if this is what could ne affecting our throats and maybe other stuff in the head? (the burning feeling)

If we have inflammation everywhere else, I wouldn't be surprised that we could find it in our throat and mouth.

Hi, I had a fever for 4 yrs...went to many many docs- no answers. My fever same range
as yours 99.5 and never higher than 101 mostly high 99 is now mosy gone.

I started vitamin D slowly and built up to 4-7000 ius a day of D3. It must be D3 only. If I miss several days
my fever will return.

I started a thread on ProHealth's cfs site called the fever club.

Sadly I now have a swollen throat and swallowing problems that are severe - am on onlyiquids for last year or so and lost over 20lbs - docs think it was caused by undiagnosed fever. Really?

So I really relate to your frustration and understand the suffering. I am treated by Clevrland Clinic docs --- clueless wonders that they are.

I used magic mouthwash from a compounding pharmacy. I sucked on chips of niacinamide ( the B vita
in it's numbing) also tried diglycerizzed licorice lozenges, wild cherry lozenges with pectin, and a million other things... The sore throat pain is aweful.

Anyway just wanted you to know you not alone!

God bless you,
Elisabeth

THANK you for this. I saw an infectious disease specialist for the fever, and because it is not chronic (actually, it is but it comes and goes - it's seems to be a cyclic thing), he did not know what to say. So, the vitamin D is what must control it. I should thank my naturopathic doctor...

Have you notice a peak during the month or your fever would appear anytime?
